About Steven

Stephen Gammell is an American born illustrator and artist for children’s novels. Stephen is best known for his drawings in Alvin Schwartz’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series of horror short stories. This is also where I first encountered Stephen’s work as a child. As I grown since then I have come to appreciate the more subtle details of Stephen’s work and find it even more intriguing today.
