A couple weeks before Christmas, Rachel attended the Tacoma Mega Liquidation Sale and was sorely disappointed with the event as a whole. The Mega Liquidation Sale continued it’s way down to San Diego and received so many complaints that the San Diego 6 News affiliate pulled the Mega Liquidation Sale Ads from its broadcast.
Also in recent developments, the city of San Diego convicted Bruno Vic, one of the event’s organizers, with a misdemeanor charge of operating a “close-out” sale without a license.
Now The Mega Liquidation Sale is changing it’s web address to closeoutclubonline.com. Unfortunately, not much else has changed. Without illusion, the products you should expect to see at these events are not name brands. They are low quality, over priced products, and if you see an Xbox 360 or an Ipod in the commercial, do not expect them to be at the event.
Bruno Vic did contact us here at The State of Affairs and stated that if you are unhappy with the event, you can ask for your money back. The San Diego 6 news helped many unhappy customers get their money back when the event came to their town, so if you choose to attend and are unhappy as well, do not hesitate to request your money back.
If you attend the event please leave a comment below with your experiences. Perhaps the quality of the event has changed since past months, but I’m not putting my money on that claim just yet.

I went to one of these at the L.A. Convention Center a while ago, maybe two months ago at most. We had to pay $10 per person to get in and were extremely disappointed with what we saw. Mostly it was just counterfeit perfumes. I didn’t see any Xboxes or anything exciting at all. There was some computer software, car stereo equipment, clothes, and that’s about it. I wish we had thought to ask for our money back. We simply assumed it wasn’t possible. I was a bit surprised that the L.A. Convention Center was allowing this group to sell counterfeit items. Next time I will try to search for information online when an ad on TV sounds too good to be true.
Thanks for posting about this! Funny thing, I was about to check out this event TODAY… good thing I didn’t. I’ve been to these types of sales events before but this one sounds lame and fraudulent. I wished people would do their research before getting bought out from false advertising. Then they wouldn’t be able to afford to put these events together anymore. Oh well, I guess it’s off to the Citadel Outlets in Commerce, CA instead.
This event SUCKEDDD!!!!!!!!!!!! I WENT TODAY WITH A FRIEND AND IT WAS GAYER THAN THE GUY ASKING FOR MONEY. REALLY THEY HAD IBM THINKPADS WITH WINDOWS VISTA OPERATING SYSTEMS!!!!!! IT WAS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND GAS!!!
I actually heard this advertised on the radio and really was interested in checking it out.
I ended up not being able to go but thank goodness! I decided to google about it to see if there was any information on it – THANKS FOR YOUR POST and for informing all the unknowing people about this.
