49467011 South Park too Offensive for the Iphone App CommunityAccording to Apple, the finished and ready to “ship” South Park Iphone App is, “potentially offensive” to the Iphone App community. In defense, Apple stated that their censorship could change in time, pointing out that originally Itunes did not sell music with explicit lyrics.

It’s sad to see that after 12 years of South Park, they are still getting a bad rap for their humor. It’s time to wake up Apple, you’re breathing hypocrisy when you ban apps like South Park, but allow the following apps:

“I am a Man” Iphone App

A fun and exciting game where you get to keep track of your girlfriends menstrual cycles! Yay, fun? If you’re a “player” and have multiple girlfriends, you can track their cycles simultaneously as well. Now that is way more tasteful then South Park, right?

“Amateur Surgeon” Iphone App

Learn how to discriminate against the homeless AND mutilate patients’ bodies while you operate on them. Calling someone a Jew, too offensive. Mutilating them on the operating table, now that’s a whole ‘nother story!

I am not saying I am against these 2 apps being available, but when you read the fine print, South Park is far from where these games go. I have seen countless lessons of morality on South Park, but fail to see anything more then just entertainment in these apps. Morbid entertainment at that.

Whats your take on the South Park App?
