Well, I just reworked my plugin a little bit. You can download version 2.0 from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/noindex-archives/

This plugin can add rel=”noindex,nofollow” to archive, tag, and category links. You can configure exactly which links are given which attributes using the configuration page in the admin. For instance, you could add rel=”noindex,nofollow” to all of your tag links, rel=”noindex” to all of your archive links, and nothing to your category links.

Although I consider myself a pretty good developer, I’m still relatively new to WordPress. I’m not aware of all of the possible ways to configure WordPress, so if anyone finds a bug or thinks I need to add something, just let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.

That is great news to hear about the updates John, I think all of those new features will add a lot of flexibility to the plugin. Every site needs to drive crawlers to different places, so a flexible plugin only makes sense. I look forward to the update.

Hey, thanks for listing my plugin (Noindex Archives). I’m about to add some new features. I’d appreciate any input. The new version will have a configuration page that allows you to add noindex, nofollow, individually to archive links, tag links, and category links.

For instance, you might want noindex,nofollow on categories and tags, but nothing on archives. You could do this the other way around also.
